It’s officially summer time and you will definitely be feeling fine during your stay at Beach Colony Resort. Aside from the white, sandy shores and agreeable weather, there are plenty of other reasons to get excited about your beach vacation, including the vast array of local events happening during the month of June that are sure to keep your itinerary packed. Hot Summer Nights – Ongoing; All Summer Long

Looking to enjoy a night out on the town? Head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk any evening during the week to take advantage of the Hot Summer Nights promotion. This fun, family friendly event will feature a variety of free entertainment throughout the week. Check out the kids carnival on Monday nights which feature games, inflatables, face painting, and much more or stick around on Saturday evenings for a spectacular fireworks over the Atlantic. Other nights will offer open-air concerts by the sea and various roaming entertainment. Just head to the recently renovated boardwalk to take part in the fun!

Corvettes at The Beach – June 7th

Whether you are a devout ‘vette lover or just an occasional car enthusiast, the Corvette Car Show is sure to catch your eye. This is the 19th year for this exciting event and it has grown to attract guests from around the country. Come and view over 300 pristine Corvettes and connect with car lovers from around the nation. And, this event’s convenient location at Broadway at the Beach makes it easy for you and your family to enjoy plenty of other entertainment as well. This colorful event takes place from 10am – 3:30pm.

Cool Summer Evenings – Ongoing; All Summer Long

If you want to visit Brookgreen Gardens during your vacation but shy away from spending a day out in the hot sun then the Cool Summer Evenings event if just for you! Starting June 11th, Brookgreen Gardens will extend their hours until 9pm and will host an array of early evening entertainment for you and your family to enjoy. Entertainment will include open-air concerts, special programs just for the kids, and discounted creek cruises ($8 for adults; $4 children). Fun Friday Luau – June 20th

Spend time together as a family during your vacation at the Fun Friday Luau Event. Hosted at the Children’s Museum of South Carolina, this festive event is ideal for young children and is a great way to let the little ones burn some energy. The luau will feature interactive games, face painting, music, Hawaiian themed snacks, and much more. Dress to impress as there may or may not be a costume contest with prizes! And, the best part is, you can enjoy admission to this cheerful event for only a buck! That’s right, enjoy this event from 6pm – 8pm for just $1 / person.
