A Labor Day weekend in Myrtle Beach wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Beach, Boogie, & BBQ Festival! Going on its 8th year, this annual event draws thousands to enjoy live music, vendors, and – of course – lots of BBQ. Children will love the variety of kids’ games and play areas while the adults might want to visit the beer & wine garden for a tasty treat to accompany the BBQ. In addition to music and food, there will also be craft and business vendors, games, contests, and fireworks. Be sure to stop by the Market Common this Labor Day weekend anytime Friday afternoon – Sunday evening to take part in this beach tradition.

Get down and dirty this Labor Day weekend at the Dirty Myrtle Mud Run. This fun athletic event takes participants through a challenging three mile course where runners can expect everything from hill runs and ditch crawls to mud pits and more! This is a great event for families as there is also a one mile kid’s course for the younger tikes in tow. Be sure to stick around after the run for live entertainment, food, and drinks. The run begins at 9am this Saturday, Aug.31st at Waterbridge.
Myrtle Beach Pelicans Game
End you summer on a high note with seats at a Myrtle Beach Pelicans game. This minor league affiliate of the Texas Rangers has become an area staple and represents the epitome of summer. Lucky for you, the Pelicans are hosting the Carolina Wildcats this weekend, just in time for Labor Day. These teams will battle it out Saturday – Monday evenings, giving you plenty of opportunities to take your family to the ballgame. Very family friendly, the stadium keeps guests busy in between innings with interactive games and contest and there are plenty of food vendors if you get hungry. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ballpark, located across from Broadway at The Beach.
