Enjoy our roundup of the top family events for July and pencil a few in to your vacation itinerary:

Hot Summer Nights – All Summer Long

Looking to enjoy a little family friendly entertainment that won’t put a strain on the wallet? Head down to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and check out their ongoing “Hot Summer Nights” promotions. Bring the little ones out on a Monday for the Kids’ Carnival from 7pm – 10pm which offers games, face painting, inflatables, entertainers, and much more. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights offer free seaside concerts from 8pm – 11pm while Wednesdays offer early music from 6pm – 9pm followed by a spectacular fireworks show over the Atlantic at 10pm. Elvis lovers will want to head to Plyler Park on Friday and Saturday evenings from 8pm – 10pm to see the king himself live in action. The best part is, all of these events can be enjoyed completely free of charge; just head to the boardwalk to see what all the buzz is about!

Dive-In Movies at Myrtle Waves – Every Wednesday

Gear up for a night of wet n’ wild fun at Myrtle Waves Water Park! Each week, this popular family attraction is hosting a “dive-in” movie screening on a large outdoor screen. Families are invited to come at 4pm to enjoy a few hours of sliding and splashing before the movie begins at dusk. Though the movies will vary each week, they will always be very family friendly and appropriate for guests of all ages. Admission to this unique event is only $11.99 / person and just a buck more if you want to enjoy fresh, buttery popcorn during the feature. Call (843) 913-9250 for more information.

Summer Parrot Head Festival – July 19th

Whether you are a wino aficionado or just enjoy cool drinks and catchy tunes, the Parrot Head Festival at La Belle Amie Vineyard is sure to appeal to your crowd. Take a trip to the island with an afternoon of Jimmy Buffet beach music, tropical drinks and wine, and mouthwatering outdoor cooking. This festive event kicks off at noon and will feature two live bands which will be playing beachy tunes, complimentary tours of the winery, and food from Smokin’ Pitt BBQ and Vineyard Grill. Guests are invited to bring a few chairs and blankets (and friends!) and settle in for a lively afternoon. The fun wraps up around 5pm, call (843) 399-9463 for more information.
