Labor Day Events in Myrtle Beach

Labor Day weekend is just days away and Myrtle Beach is abuzz gearing up for this end of summer celebration. Whether you have finalized your plans or you are still busy doing last minute prep – you won’t want to head to the beach without knowing about all of the family fun that this weekend has in store. From live music to the beach’s best BBQ, there is plenty to do for everyone!

BBQ Fest during Labor Day Weekend.Beach, Boogie, & BBQ Festival | Horry-Georgetown Technical College Conference Center

A Labor Day weekend in Myrtle Beach wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Beach, Boogie, & BBQ Festival! Going on its 9th year, this annual event draws thousands to enjoy live music, vendors, and – of course – lots of BBQ. Children will love the variety of kids’ games and play areas while the adults might want to visit the beer & wine garden for a tasty treat to accompany the BBQ. In addition to music and food, there will also be craft and business vendors, games and contests. Be sure to stop by HGTC Conference Center at The Market Common this Labor Day weekend Friday from 6 – 9:30 p.m. or Saturday noon – 10 p.m. to take part in this beach tradition.

Free Live Music | The Boathouse

If you are looking for the hottest spot on the water for live music - look no farther than The Boathouse! Located along the picturesque Intracoastal Waterway, The Boathouse is the perfect place to enjoy great eats and live entertainment. On Friday Sept. 4th, they will have their “Free Show Friday” series and they are going to rock the stage with the popular radio station, Gator 107.9 FM and musician, Brian Davis. On Sunday you can stop by for their all-ages “Summer Concert Series” which takes place on their lawn overlooking the waterway. Singer- songwriter Trevor Hall will be taking the stage for this free show which starts at 5 p.m. They also have a full menu where you can get everything from appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, to hearty burgers, seafood, and steaks.

Coastal Uncorked | Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is always buzzing with fun events and Labor Day weekend is no exception. Expect to find the 2015 Coastal Uncorked Festival in Celebrity Square this year. Coastal Uncorked is one of Myrtle Beach's finest food, wine and spirits festivals. Chocolate Under the Moon is this year's theme and there will be a dessert and moonshine mixology event under the stars on Friday night followed by the popular Grand Tasting Tent which will continue throughout the weekend! Entry to this event is available by the day or weekend.

These are just a few of the things that you can look forward to during your Labor Day vacation in Myrtle Beach. Do you have a Labor Day tradition that we didn’t mention? Let us know what you look forward to on your Labor Day beach vacation!
