Myrtle Beach Events Rundown: September
Summer season is officially in the rear view and fall is fast approaching. But, don’t think that the fun ends after Labor Day weekend; quite the opposite, actually! Fall is jam packed with fun, family friendly festivals, many of which are free to attend. Check out these enticing events for September and check them out during your fall beach getaway:
Bourbon & Beer Bash – September 13th
Bourbon aficionados and beer lovers alike are sure to appreciate the craft offerings this new area event. The 1st Annual Bourbon & Beer Bash is taking place at Rodeo Bar and Grill at Broadway at the Beach on Saturday, September 13th and benefits local charities. Guests can enjoy generous samples of tasty top shelf favorites like Basil Hayden, Knob Creek, beers from Striped Pig Distillery out of Charleston – to name a few. Additionally, this event will feature live entertainment from RetroGrade, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, hand rolled cigars, and a silent auction. Greek Festival – September 26th – 29th
The annual Greek Festival, held each year at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, is a favorite among visitors and locals alike! If there’s one thing that you need to do to prep for this event it’s to BE HUNGRY! Food is the main draw of this tasty festival and guests can look forward to everything from spanikopita, roasted lamb, and zesty potatoes and baklava, galaktoboureko, and much more. In addition to good eats, this festival offers live entertainment, local vendors showcasing their finest offerings, and a spacious kid’s area with games and inflatables. Times for this event include 11am – 9pm on Thursday, 11am – 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and 12pm – 7pm on Sunday.
Brew at the Zoo – September 27th
Come out and meet a few friendly faces at the annual Brew at the Zoo celebration at Brook Green Gardens! This annual fundraiser is one of the most popular fall events in the area – and it’s not hard to see why. Guests can look forward to sampling more than 30 regional and craft beers, live entertainment from “Bullfrog”, a popular local band, and a signature souvenir tasting glass. The night will also feature a silent auction, a home brewing demonstration by the Homebrewer’s Pantry and M.A.S.H. (Myrtle Beach Area Society of Homebrewers), and several games and activities.
